St. John's/Tipton Catholic takes loss despite strong efforts from Edward Horinek and Jacob Winkler

Recap: St. John's/Tipton Catholic Blujays vs. Sacred Heart Knights

The St. John's/Tipton Catholic Blujays lost against the Sacred Heart Knights back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. St. John's/Tipton Catholic was outmatched by Sacred Heart on the road and fell 75-38. St. John's/Tipton Catholic has not had much luck with Sacred Heart recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Jacob Winkler and Edward Horinek certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Winkler dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Horinek scored 16 points.

St. John's/Tipton Catholic has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Sacred Heart, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. John's/Tipton Catholic will face off against Rock Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rock Hills is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Sacred Heart, they will head out on the road to face off against Thomas More Prep-Marian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Thomas More Prep-Marian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Sacred Heart is ranked 12th).
