Tuesday just wasn't the day for Swain County's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Robbinsville Black Knights on Tuesday. The Maroon Devils' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Rylee Rawls spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

Swain County's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Robbinsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

While Swain County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
