Soccer Game Preview: Hylton vs. Brooke Point

The Hylton Bulldogs will square off against the Brooke Point Black Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hylton had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the three-goal drubbing they dealt Potomac Senior on Thursday. The Bulldogs blew past the Panthers 4-1. That looming 4-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Hylton yet this season.

Meanwhile, Brooke Point kept a clean sheet against Massaponax on Friday. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0. The win was all the more spectacular given Brooke Point's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 99th, while Massaponax are ranked ninth).

Hylton's victory bumped their record up to 3-5-2. As for Brooke Point, the win got them back to even at 4-4-3.
