Football Recap: Jefferson County Falls to Screven County in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Jefferson County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 37-6 defeat at the hands of the Screven County Gamecocks on Friday. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

Antoni 'AJ' Bush threw for 100 yards and one TD. Lathan Brown was his top target, picking up 69 receiving yards and one score.

Jefferson County will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Washington County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Warriors their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Screven County, they will host Vidalia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
