Recap: Culleoka Warriors vs. Wayne County Wildcats
The Culleoka Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 65-41 walloping at the hands of Wayne County. Culleoka has not had much luck with Wayne County recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Wayne County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cayman Camfield led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was Camfield's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Cooper Shamer was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Culleoka has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Wayne County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.
Culleoka will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Collinwood at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Wayne County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Rogers at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th.
