Softball Recap: Poplar Springs Atomics vs. Bethlehem Wildcats
Poplar Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Bethlehem Wildcats, falling 22-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-6 back in March.
Jada Bollon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.
Poplar Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Bethlehem, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.
Looking ahead, Poplar Springs will challenge Rutherford at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bethlehem, they will face off against Malone at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
