Recap: NSU University Sharks vs. Westminster Academy Lions
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the NSU University Sharks, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They suffered a rough 49-27 defeat at the hands of the Lions on Wednesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for NSU University in their matchups with Westminster Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, NSU University saw an underclassman step up: Kimora Exum scored 18 points along with four steals and two blocks.
NSU University has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for Westminster Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-9.
NSU University does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westminster Academy, they will square off against Miami Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Miami Country Day will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Westminster Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
