Baseball Recap: Lawrence Upper Triumphs

It was a proper cat-fight when Lawrence Upper duked it out with Bedford on Saturday. The Lions had just enough and edged out the Bearcats 5-4. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Max Samac was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Lawrence Upper now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bedford, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Looking ahead, Lawrence Upper will be playing at home against Fuchs Mizrachi at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bedford, they will square off against Warrensville Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Bearcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
