Recap: Centennial Hawks vs. Silver Fighting Colts

The Centennial Hawks entered their tilt with the Silver Fighting Colts with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Centennial walked away with a 58-46 win over Silver on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Centennial, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Centennial's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tracen Huntsman, who scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Huntsman scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Brady Rewalt, who scored 16 points.

Centennial pushed their record up to 7-7 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Silver, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centennial will take on Carlsbad at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Carlsbad is ranked 35th, while Centennial is ranked 42nd). Silver will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cobre at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th.
