After losing to West Islip the last time they met, Hauppauge decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Lions on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Aeryn Regan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Crisalyn Abruscato, who fired off two home runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Julia Menella, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Hauppauge lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Hauppauge's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for West Islip, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Hauppauge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Islip, they will be playing at home against Eastport-South Manor at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
