Basketball Recap: Reagan Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Reagan came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were beaten by the Mount Tabor Spartans 76-47. The Raiders have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cayden Simmons, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 13 boards. Another player making a difference was JJ McGee, who posted 11 points.

Mount Tabor was led to victory by Dorian Moore and Will Koonin. Moore went 9-for-19 en route to 28 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals, while Koonin shot 50% from the field on his way to 17 points and five boards. Koonin is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Seth Reynolds was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Reagan fell to 3-1. As for Mount Tabor, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Reagan and Hough will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Huskies have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Mount Tabor will take on West Forsyth in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
