Football Recap: Broome Centurions vs. Mountain View Prep Stars
Broome had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 4-5 to make it four. They were outmatched by the Mountain View Prep Stars and fell 55-12. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, the Centurions couldn't push the score so high this time.
Although Broome took the loss, they still got scores from Asher Littlejohn and Tyqwon Booker.
As for Mountain View Prep, their record now sits at 8-1. Considering they have won eight contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Mak Anderson had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 320 yards and six touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes, and also rushing for 88 yards and one score. Those six passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Kadarus Hainsworth was another key player, picking up 167 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
Looking ahead, Broome is taking a road trip to face off against Chapman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mountain View Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
