Softball Recap: Walsh Jesuit Gets the Win

West Geauga typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Walsh Jesuit proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 victory over the Wolverines. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by just one run.

The win made it two in a row for Walsh Jesuit and bumps their season record up to 12-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for West Geauga, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Walsh Jesuit and West Geauga should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Warriors (ranked fourth) will meet Tallmadge (ranked 115th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, West Geauga will square off against Kirtland at 4:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (221 vs. 525).
