Football Recap: Creekview Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Creekview and Cambridge faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Friday. The Grizzlies were beaten by the Bears 35-7. The Grizzlies' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row dating back to last season.

Landon Barnes threw for 119 yards while completing 75% of his passes. Travis Vines was his top target, picking up 35 receiving yards.

Brooks Malone had a dynamite game For Cambridge., rushing for 157 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. Those 157 rushing yards gave Malone a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Craig Dandridge, who picked up 157 receiving yards and one score.

Creekview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cambridge, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Creekview will head out on the road to challenge Lassiter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Grizzlies will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Cambridge, they will host Denmark at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
