After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against American Heritage, Norland was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy  30-14 victory over the Columbus Explorers. The Vikings pushed the score to  30-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Explorers cut but never quite recovered from.

 Norland can attribute much of their success to  Kai Moore, who threw for 266 yards and a pair of  touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Moore's passing game has become a key predictor of the Vikings' success: the team is 4-2 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise.  Rashad Wallace was in the mix  as well, providing Norland with two scores.
 Despite the loss, Columbus still got an impressive performance from   Shawn James, who rushed for 117 yards and two  TDs.
Norland's win  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 4-5. As for Columbus,  with the  defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-6.
 Norland has already played their next contest,  a  35-34  victory against Plantation on the 24th. As for Columbus, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  34-15  loss against True North Classical Academy on the 24th.
