Grace Christian falls despite strong effort from Jonathen Holderby

Grace Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Bob Jones Academy on the road and fell 70-43. Grace Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2020.

Despite the loss, Grace Christian still got an impressive performance from Jonathen Holderby, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Holderby is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brady Johnston, who scored 12 points.

Grace Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Bob Jones Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-3.

Grace Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on January 25th. Brooklane Baptist will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 245th in Alabama, while the are ranked 93rd in West Virginia). As for Bob Jones Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Lions at 4:00 p.m. on January 25th. Life Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 290 points over their last four matchups.
