Recap: Little River Redskins vs. Elyria Christian
After a string of three wins, the Little River Redskins's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 77-51 walloping at the hands of Elyria Christian. Little River has not had much luck with Elyria Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Redskins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaren Garrison, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Garrison has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jaxson Konen, who scored 17 points.
Little River's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Elyria Christian, the victory was the 17th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Little River will challenge Spearville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Spearville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. As for Elyria Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Berean Academy on Tuesday. Elyria Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 contests -- so hopefully Berean Academy likes a good challenge.
