Soccer Game Preview: Calvary Chapel vs. Westminster

The Calvary Chapel Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Westminster Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Calvary Chapel's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Calvary Chapel is coming into the game fresh off a high-scoring shootout with Kennedy that saw the pair combine for 16 shots on goal. Calvary Chapel came up short against Kennedy on Friday, falling 13-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Eagles were already down 9-1.

Their goal came courtesy of Jett Rauch, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Westminster challenged Segerstrom on Friday. Westminster took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Segerstrom. The Lions have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Calvary Chapel's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Westminster, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4-2.

Calvary Chapel might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Westminster in their previous meeting on January 10th. Can Calvary Chapel avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
