Basketball Recap: Hewlett Comes Up Short

Hewlett has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They came up short against the Garden City Trojans on Saturday, falling 78-58. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since December 8, 2025.

Hewlett's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Garden City, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hewlett will take on Roslyn at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hewlett will need to watch out since Roslyn has now posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Garden City, they will challenge Massapequa at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
