Softball Recap: Richland Takes a Loss

Richland has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.61 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 10-1 to the Birdville Hawks. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 14, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Richland's loss dropped their record down to 12-9-2. As for Birdville, their victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-2.

Coincidentally, Richland and Birdville will both be playing Grapevine the next time they take the field. The Hawks will host the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Royals will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
