Vilonia waltzed into their matchup on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Conway Wampus Cats. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 13-4 victory the Wampus Cats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2018.

Kinley Brown looked comfortable as she tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Olivia Cates, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Lila Toll was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Vilonia pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Conway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-6.

Looking ahead, Vilonia will face off against Beebe at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Conway, they will challenge North Little Rock at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
