Football Recap: Willow Spring Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Willow Spring can now relate to. They were dealt a 48-0 defeat at the hands of the Hoggard Vikings on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 31 points in the game before, the Storm's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Ethan Dyk Es threw for 54 yards on four of 13 attempts. Greyson Mosley was his top target, picking up 33 receiving yards.

Matthew Boring had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 34 yards and two TDs, while also throwing for 139 yards and one touchdown for Hoggard. Aamere Montgomery was in the mix too, providing the Vikings with two scores.

Willow Spring's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Hoggard, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Willow Spring does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hoggard, they will take on Rolesville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Vikings 12.3, the Rams 12.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
