Basketball Recap: Farmersville Comes Up Short

Farmersville lost against Summit Charter Collegiate Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Farmersville Aztecs lost 54-29 to the Summit Charter Collegiate Academy Bears.

Despite the loss, Farmersville still got an impressive performance from Aiden Perez, who posted 15 points. That was a full 51.7% of Farmersville's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Shawn Smith continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Summit Charter Collegiate Academy, going 7 for 17 en route to 21 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Smith, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards.

Farmersville has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Summit Charter Collegiate Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-10.

Farmersville has already played their next matchup, a 59-26 loss against Orosi on the 30th. As for Summit Charter Collegiate Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 52-32 win against Wonderful College Prep Academy on the 30th.
