Softball Recap: Clay County Comes Up Short

Clay County fell victim to Gordonsville and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 back in March.

Clay County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Gordonsville, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

Coming up, Clay County will be playing in front of their home fans against Clarkrange at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs are facing the Buffaloes at the right time seeing as the Buffaloes are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Gordonsville, they have already played their next game, a 7-0 win against Upperman on the 9th.
