Preview: McBee Panthers vs. Central Eagles
McBee is 10-0 against Central since November of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The McBee Panthers will be home for the holidays to greet the Central Eagles at 6:15 p.m. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.
McBee's 13-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell just short of Trinity Collegiate by a score of 2-0. That was the first shutout McBee has experienced all season.
Meanwhile, Central had to suffer through a rough 55-24 loss at the hands of Monroe. Central has not had much luck with Monroe recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
McBee's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-4. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.0 points per game. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Everything came up roses for McBee against Central when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 57-23 victory. Does McBee have another victory up their sleeve, or will Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
