Soccer Recap: Ariton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Highland Home last Saturday, Ariton came back down to earth. The Purple Cats came up short against the Providence Christian Eagles on Monday, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for Ariton in their meetings with Providence Christian: they've now lost three in a row.

Ariton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12-1. As for Providence Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Ariton will face off against rival Northside Methodist Academy at 7:15 p.m. on the 22nd. Meanwhile, Providence Christian is set to challenge their familiar foe Long at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
