Volleyball Recap: Buna Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home + How To Watch

Buna suffered their biggest defeat since August 11th on Tuesday. They came up short against the Hardin Hornets, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-12, 25-18.

Cecilee Ford paced Buna's offense, picking up nine kills. Ford got some help from Tyler Rion and her 11 assists.

Buna's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-16. As for Hardin, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-13.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Buna is set to face off against their familiar foe Orangefield at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hardin will take on rival Kirbyville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
