Chiefland skates past Bronson with ease

Recap: Chiefland Indians vs. Bronson Eagles

There's no place like home for the Chiefland Indians, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Monday. They breezed by Bronson at home to the tune of 78-24. That's another feather in the cap for Chiefland, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Chiefland's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nyasia Bivins, who scored 17 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 steals. Bivins hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Laila Ingram was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 steals.

The win got Chiefland back to even at 3-3. As for Bronson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Chiefland will head out on the road to face off against Dunnellon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dunnellon presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Chiefland in Florida (Dunnellon is ranked 102nd, while Chiefland is ranked 268th). As for Bronson, they will be playing at home against Saint Francis Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
