Basketball Game Preview: Northwestern Trojans vs. Clover Blue Eagles

Northwestern hasn't had much luck against Clover recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Northwestern Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Clover Blue Eagles at 6:15 p.m.

On Friday, Northwestern didn't have quite enough to beat Catawba Ridge and fell 32-30.

Meanwhile, Clover came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 38-32 win over the Yellow Jackets.

Clover pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points per game. As for Northwestern, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Northwestern came up short against Clover in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 42-29. Can Northwestern avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
