Soccer Game Preview: Citrus vs. Lecanto

The Citrus Hurricanes are taking a road trip to take on the Lecanto Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Citrus is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.

Citrus is coming into the contest fresh off a high-scoring shootout with Trinity Catholic that saw the pair combine for 23 shots on goal. Both finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw on Wednesday. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Hurricanes' first draw of the season.

They hit Trinity Catholic with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Trevor Nolan, Henry Trochez, and Zeke Lambright.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Lecanto made sure to put some goals up on the board against Weeki Wachee on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Hornets as they made off with a 5-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won three games by three goals or more so far this season.

Citrus' draw makes their record 6-4-1 this season. As for Lecanto, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Citrus came up short against Lecanto in their previous meeting back in November, falling 4-2. Can Citrus avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
