Basketball Game Preview: New Waverly Bulldogs vs. Crockett Bulldogs

New Waverly hasn't had much luck against Crockett recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The New Waverly Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Crockett Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

New Waverly took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Anderson-Shiro by a score of 56-47.

Meanwhile, Crockett entered their tilt with Trinity on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went their way against the Tigers as they made off with a 75-52 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 20 points or more this season.

Crockett has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for New Waverly, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.

New Waverly couldn't quite finish off Crockett in their previous meeting on January 10th and fell 51-48. Can New Waverly avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
