Volleyball Recap: Boardman's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Boardman extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Emma Terlesky. The Spartans came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Crestview Rebels thanks in part to Terlesky, who had 22 assists and 13 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Boardman was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (106-102), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 17-25, 26-24, 19-25, 15-13.

Crestview lost on Monday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kerrigan Miller, who had 21 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Addison Wendell, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Boardman's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Crestview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-3 record this season.

Boardman will venture away from home to take on Canfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crestview, they will host LaBrae at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
