Volleyball Recap: Hamilton Huskies vs. West Ranch Wildcats
Hamilton's tournament run continued when they took on West Ranch on Saturday. The Huskies fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1.
Makinlee Landis paced Hamilton's offense, picking up six kills. Landis got some help from Hailey Johnston and her 16 assists. Kira Strawberry controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Leading West Ranch to victory were Alexandra Seres and Dani Clewis. Seres had 22 digs and three assists, while Clewis hit 61.1% for 11 kills and nine digs and three blocks. Clewis is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last 43 games she's played dating back to last season.
Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 20-9. As for West Ranch, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamilton will take on Casteel at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Ranch, they will host Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
