Baseball Recap: Brewbaker Tech Triumphs

Brewbaker Tech came into Saturday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Eufaula Tigers 6-5 on Saturday.

Cameron Gage made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Tanner Thornton was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. He has become a key player for Brewbaker Tech: the team is 6-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Keshawn Taylor, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Brewbaker Tech was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Brewbaker Tech's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Eufaula, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Brewbaker Tech will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
