Soccer Recap: South East Triumphs

South East's tournament run continued when they took on Los Angeles on Thursday. The South East Jaguars had just enough and edged the Los Angeles Romans out 2-1. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while the Romans are ranked 861st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Nathan Medina and David Velasco scored both of South East's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

South East has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Los Angeles, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6-1 record this season.

South East didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-0 win against Panorama on the 27th. As for Los Angeles, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Animo Bunche on the 27th.
