Soccer Game Preview: St. Mary's Academy vs. Vail Mountain

The St. Mary's Academy Wildcats will head out to take on the Vail Mountain Rangers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Vail Mountain will be up against a hot St. Mary's Academy squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over Eagle Ridge Academy on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Vail Mountain won against Roaring Fork on Tuesday with four goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Thursday. Everything went the Rangers' way against Aspen as they made off with a 4-1 win. It was an even better day for Solveig Moritz as she scored three goals for her team.

The victory made it two in a row for Vail Mountain and bumps their season record up to 7-3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two matchups. As for St. Mary's Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8-1.
