Softball Recap: Spackenkill Find Success

Spackenkill's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Dover Dragons by a score of 9-5. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won eight in a row.

Cadie Hanaburgh was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off ten hits. Hanaburgh was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addison Whitted, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Aliyah Brady, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Spackenkill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2025.

Spackenkill's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Dover, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.
