Baseball Recap: Holton Red Devils vs. Ravenna Bulldogs
Holton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ravenna Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 on Tuesday.

Fisher Mirkle was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Those two hits allowed gave him a new career-low. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two doubles. He has become a key player for Holton: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 4-9-1 otherwise.
