Owensboro Catholic waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Apollo Eagles a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Owensboro Catholic, who have now won five games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Apollo with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Allie Marston (4), Meredith Traylor, Jenna Brey, and Chloe Marston.

Owensboro Catholic's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Apollo, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Owensboro Catholic will welcome Evansville Day at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Apollo, they will head out to square off against Evansville Mater Dei at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
