Basketball Recap: Twin Loup Falls Despite Big Games from Ragan Mauler and Loreena Schauda

Twin Loup was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 35-33 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hyannis Longhorns. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Longhorns apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Twin Loup's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Loreena Schauda, who posted eight points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals, and Ragan Mauler, who had 12 points. That's the most boards Schauda has posted since back in February of 2024.

Twin Loup's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Hyannis, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Twin Loup wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 50-32 loss against North Central on the 17th. Hyannis has also already played their next game (against Sandhills Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
