League recap: Chenango Forks tops Newark Valley to extend winning streak

Chenango Forks extended the longest winning streak in Section 4 C Division V this week by beating Newark Valley, 45-3. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Blue Devils.

Chenango Forks led the league in scoring this week after putting up 45 points on the Cardinals.

Greene's dynamic duo of Cole Browning and Dan Treadwell proved tough for Whitney Point to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Browning threw for 30 yards and Treadwell had 30 yards receiving.

Nate McDonald was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 109 yards as Sidney topped the Eagles. Billy Kozak also contributed to the rushing game with 78 yards on the ground.

Sidney's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Patrick Vibbard has thrown for 570 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Kozak has nine catches for 254 yards. McDonald leads the league in rushing with 652 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Blue Devils take on Whitney Point. Chenango Forks is in first place, while Mike Hakes' team is in fifth place.
