Softball Recap: Martinsville Comes Up Short

Martinsville and Brookeland squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Martinsville had to settle for second. They lost 14-0 to the Wildcats. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Martinsville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Brookeland, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4-3.

Martinsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brookeland, they will square off against Oakwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
