Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Francis). Everything went their way against the Cheektowaga Chargers on Friday as they made off with a 7-4 win. The high-scoring effort was just what St. Francis needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Their offense was hitting Cheektowaga from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Christopher Gosciak led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

St. Francis has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four contests. As for Cheektowaga, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

St. Francis and Cheektowaga could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Red Raiders (ranked 248th) will meet Canisius (ranked 20th) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cheektowaga will face off against Griffith Institute at 5:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (340 vs. 139).
