Soccer Recap: Goochland Takes a Loss

Goochland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Albemarle Patriots. While losing is never fun, Goochland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Albemarle are ranked 50th).

Goochland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Albemarle, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goochland will venture away from home to square off against Louisa County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Goochland are facing Louisa County at the right time seeing as Louisa County are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Albemarle, they will head out on the road to face off against Western Albemarle at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
