Soccer Recap: Christ the King Finds Playoff Glory Versus Bishop Mcguinness

With a playoff win on the line, Christ the King rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Bishop McGuinness Villains 2-1. Christ the King's winning goal came courtesy of Rylan Nicholson.

The win was the fourth in a row for Christ the King, bringing their record up to 14-5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four matchups. As for Bishop McGuinness, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-4.

Christ the King wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Mountain Island Charter on the 27th. Bishop McGuinness does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
