Basketball Recap: Salmon River Comes Up Short

Salmon River suffered their biggest defeat since February 15th on Friday. They had to suffer through a 49-22 loss at the hands of the Homedale Trojans. The game marked the Savages' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Homedale got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Stella Heck out in front who posted 13 points. Those 13 points gave Heck a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tiana Sorenson, who had ten points.

Salmon River's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Homedale, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Salmon River will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Garden Valley at 5:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for Homedale, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-43 victory against Council on the 21st.
