Gray Stone Day hadn't done well against Union Academy recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Knights blew past the Cardinals 3-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won five matches in a row.

Gray Stone Day walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-15, 25-19.

Gray Stone Day found their leader in sophomore Addi Lyerly, who had ten digs and four aces.

When it comes to explaining why Union Academy lost, don't look at Marissa McMurray. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs.

Gray Stone Day now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Union Academy, their defeat ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 18-5.

Gray Stone Day wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against North Stanly on the 15th. As for Union Academy, they will challenge Madison at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
