Soccer Recap: Sierra Canyon Comes Up Short

Sierra Canyon lost to Harvard-Westlake back in January of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Trailblazers lost 3-0 to the Wolverines. While losing is never fun, Sierra Canyon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 613th, while Harvard-Westlake are ranked 55th).

Sierra Canyon is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10-1. As for Harvard-Westlake, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-1-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sierra Canyon will welcome Loyola at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Harvard-Westlake, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Bishop Alemany at 5:00 p.m. Harvard-Westlake will be up against Bishop Alemany's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.68 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
