It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran can now relate to. They fell 9-4 to the Garrett Railroaders on Tuesday. If the Cadets were looking for revenge after losing 5-2 to the Railroaders when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Raelyn Koesters was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run. Jenna Akey also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 16 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for Garrett, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-8.

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Garrett, they will square off against East Noble at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Railroaders 3.9, the Knights 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
