Basketball Game Preview: Keller Indians vs. North Crowley Panthers

The Keller Indians are taking a road trip to square off against the North Crowley Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

North Crowley will be up against a hot Keller team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Keller came out on top against Bell by a score of 76-66 on Tuesday.

Keller's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shawn Harris led the charge by dropping a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds. Those 19 points gave Harris a new career-high. Evan Guerra was another key player, going 6-for-15 on his way to 16 points and six assists.

Meanwhile, North Crowley entered their tilt with Crowley on Tuesday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They took down the Eagles 76-58. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Eagles are ranked 65th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Crowley's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 29-5. As for Keller, their victory bumped their record up to 18-14.

Keller didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against North Crowley in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 71-66 win. Will Keller repeat their success, or does North Crowley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
